"Serenity on the Madawaska" was inspired by a weekend of tenting below Slate Falls on the Madawaska River. An evening hike up the portage to the top of the falls revealed a scene of breathtaking beauty and color. The mirror image on the water was so calm glassy. It was like peering into identical worlds. The image was laced with rock worn smooth by millenniums of flowing water. A dear friend suggested capturing this moment on canvas - thus my first large work was achieved. Thanks Deb.
